Summer Sweets: Strawberry Tart with Judiaann Woo

Join Judiaann Woo, former pastry chef and lover of all things sweet, as she guides you through making a peak summer dessert: the Strawberry Tart! 

You’ll learn how to make pâte sucrée, the French workhorse of tart doughs, a super versatile crème pâtissière, with assembly and presentation tips for the most showstopper results. We’ll also talk about some of our favorite local varieties and farms to source berries, and share some tips for how to maximize strawberries at their peak and throughout the year.

What to expect:

  • Class includes all ingredients, tools, recipes and instruction.

  • Desserts will contain wheat flour, eggs, and dairy. If you have allergies to these ingredients, please contact us prior to registering.

  • Demo + technique instruction and hands-on time

  • Everyone will enjoy samples at the end of class and take home their own composed tartetette.

About our Instructor:

Judiaann Woo is a former executive pastry chef and a graduate of The French Culinary Institute in New York City. She has appeared in numerous print publications, including The New York Times, The New York Post, Oprah Magazine, Cook’s Illustrated, and Cook’s Country, with TV appearances on Food Network, The Drew Barrymore Show, and Cooking Channel. Judiaann is currently a food and lifestyle marketing consultant and the host of the podcast “Food People Are the Best People” (recorded on location at Cookshop!).
