Join us for our monthly potluck dinner, where all attendees will bring a dish they made using a recipe from a selected cookbook. We’ll discuss the book and dishes, and enjoy the meal together. Your host will provide your first glass of wine or n/a beverages.
PLEASE NOTE: NOVEMBER’S GATHERING WILL BE HOSTED AT VIVIENNE IN NE PORTLAND.
The cookbook for November will be The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen.
Here is real food—our indigenous American fruits and vegetables, the wild and foraged ingredients, game and fish. Locally sourced, seasonal, “clean” ingredients and nose-to-tail cooking are nothing new to Sean Sherman, the Oglala Lakota chef and founder of The Sioux Chef. In his breakout book, The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen, Sherman shares his approach to creating boldly seasoned foods that are vibrant, healthful, at once elegant and easy.
Once you have registered for the event, you will receive an email with instructions for signing up for a dish. Attendees will also submit suggestions for upcoming cookbook titles for future events!
