Women's Health Series: The Importance of Rest and Recovery

• Is it impossible to say no to a spontaneous active adventure, even if you’ve just had one?

• Is your self-worth tied to your productivity and achievements?

• Are you concerned you might actually be getting burnt out?

• Is “rest day” a bad word?

It is estimated that 33% of non-elite athletes over-train or overreach what’s productive in a training cycle. Many of us do not take adequate rest and recovery for our sport.

FOMO is real, and so is over-training. Get clear info about the body’s signs of inadequate rest and recovery. I’m going to drop some knowledge about what is happening on a physical and cellular level when we choose restoration over perpetual activity.
