Vegan at Home: Plant-based basics from Vegan Ventures and Tzimmy, 2/24/24
In this 3 hour, how-to dinner class, we’ll teach you the skills for making exciting, vegan meals on your own. We'll dive into prep basics, discuss stocking your best plant-based pantry, and teach repeatable recipes to inspire your next creation!
Dishes we’ll make:
Use it All Winter Salad, including a “how-to salad” framework
Gnocchi with Carrot Top Pesto
Cinnamon Apple Spelt Cake
What To Expect:
You’ll learn basic cooking techniques, and the class will include some demo and lots of hands-on cooking time.
Recipes will include wheat flour and nuts. Please contact us BEFORE registering if you are unsure if this class will be a good match for your dietary needs.
Students will sit down to a communal dinner at the end of class to enjoy all of their hard work!
Beer, Wine, and Kombucha available for purchase during class.

Hawnuh Lee is a Portland based plant-based chef focused on low waste, accessible recipes. She runs a Jewish, vegan pop-up dinner–Tzimmy, and is always on the hunt for the best local produce. With a background in design, she believes in good-for-you food that you’ll want to share with friends.
Ashley Castellanos, also known as Vegan Ventures, is a Portland creator, marketer, photographer, and videographer. She not only runs Vegan Ventures, a media platform promoting the best vegan eats and experiences, but also enjoys storytelling through digital mediums and creating community through her platform and events.
