Cookbook Club! Vegetable Kingdom

$25.00
SOLD OUT

Each month, Cookshop will be hosting a potluck dinner, where all attendees will bring a dish they made using a recipe from a selected cookbook. We’ll discuss the book, recipes, our experiences cooking, and enjoy the meal together. Cookshop will provide wine, beer and n/a beverages.

The cookbook for June will be Vegetable Kingdom by Bryant Terry. We will have a few copies of the book available at Cookshop (to purchase or just browse throuh), or you can find it at Powells , your local library, or other online booksellers.

Food justice activist and author Bryant Terry breaks down the fundamentals of plant-based cooking in Vegetable Kingdom, showing you how to make delicious meals from popular vegetables, grains, and legumes. Recipes like Dirty Cauliflower, Barbecued Carrots with Slow-Cooked White Beans, Millet Roux Mushroom Gumbo, and Citrus and Garlic-Herb-Braised Fennel are enticing enough without meat substitutes, instead relying on fresh ingredients, vibrant spices, and clever techniques to build flavor and texture.

Once you have registered for the event, you will receive an email with instructions for signing up for a dish.

Date: Sunday, August 14th, 6pm - 8pm
