Culture Club - September 2021
Cookshop’s fermentation and preservation club is BACK!! Each month at Culture Club, we will introduce a new project to the group, with demos, important tips, and information shared to help you complete fermentation and preservation projects at home. We’ll also host guest speakers, taste locally made ferments, and have time set aside to discuss questions and preserving conundrums.
September’s Club will cover all things peppers. From fermented hot sauce to pickled peppers, get ideas and tips on preserving these super seasonal, in their prime veggies!
Leading our meetings will be Jocelyn Furtado, an experienced chef, and serious fermentation nerd. Currently working in product development for an innovative snack company, Jocelyn loves diving deep into new kitchen projects and can’t wait to share her love of pickled and preserved goodies with everyone!
What to Expect:
Ticket price includes samples of items made in class, all recipes, and a glass of Good Wolf Water Kefir.
Class will include about an hour of demo and instruction, followed by time for tasting, questions, discussion, and socializing.
Home fermentation instructions will be shared, with the hopes that you return next month to report on your progress!
Culture Club will continue to meet on one Monday evening each month.
Date: Tuesday, September 27th, 2021 6:00 - 7:30 pm
