The women behind Cookshop and The Croft Farm invite you to our first ever Camp For Grown Ups! During this 24 hour camp, you'll indulge in mindful practices, nurturing activities, and heartfelt conversations that we hope will leave you refreshed, rejuvenated, and inspired. You'll sleep in fully outfitted tents and indulge in delicious, seasonal meals provided by Cookshop's team of chefs, giving you time to relax and unwind in hammocks and conversation nooks. All you need to bring are your clothes and a good book; we’ll take care of the rest.

Retreat fee of $300 per person + lodging (choose from BYOTent, cot in a shared tent, queen bed in a shared tent, or shared cabin).

What to expect:

  • All meals, including lunch & dinner on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, and additional snacks.

  • Choice of beverages (wine and n/a options) at dinner.

  • Coffee & tea Sunday morning.

  • Choice of fully outfitted tent, cabin, or bring your own tent (see lodging options below).

Included Learning Opportunities:

  • Woven baskets from wild foraged ivy with Bailey of Yavanna Studio.

  • Guided cold plunge, sauna (thermal cycles) and shrubs by Sascha of Sauvie Shrubs.

  • Whole plant skincare intro + diy facials with Melissa from Gatherwise.

  • Witch ceremony + tarot reading with Jenn.

  • A discussion of assigned reading (short article) with Vail.

Where we’ll be:

  • Riversaw is a private camping property, located about 65 miles northwest of Portland. We will have a carpool option, meeting at The Croft Farm on Sauvie Island.

  • The property includes 20 acres, divided between the Douglas Fir Forest, a large, flat field, and about 7 acres of forest, meadow, and riverfront where most of our weekend activities will occur. We are fully off grid, with no electricity, or indoor plumbing.

  • While some guests can make and receive calls and texts, don’t expect continuous cell service (no wifi). Consider the weekend the perfect time to unwind and unplug.

FAQ

Q: Can I bring my kids?

A: No, this weekend will be 21+.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: Sorry, no pets (dogs, cats, other) allowed.

Q: What is the bathroom situation?

A: We have an outhouse (with composting toilet) near the riverside camp spots. There is a sink at the outhouse as well as at the outdoor kitchen. We do not have running water or showers at this time.

Q: What are the tents like?

A: We have 3 that contain a queen sized plus 2 cots (all bedding included(, rugs, side tables, lantern/lights. The center pole is 9’8” tall, and the tent is 16’ in diameter.

Our 4th tent is even bigger, at 20’ diameter with a 11’4” center pole. This tent has 4 twin beds with foam mattresses with bedding, rugs, side tables, lanterns.

The Cabin is just under 300 sq ft and has a queen sized bed plus window seat/beds that can be turned into a second queen bed. The window seats also have a coffee table or table that can be used to play games, eat a snack, or do a puzzle.

Q: Tell me about the BYOTent spots.

A: These spots are at the back of the field, not far from where you’ll park. There is room for up to 3 tents. There is a picnic table and water dispenser provided.

Q: I have some food allergies/intolerances, can those be accommodated?

A: Possibly! Our menus will have vegetarian options, and some other dietary restrictions might be ok. Please reach out by emailing meredith@portlandcookshop.com and we’ll see if our menu will be a good fit for you.
