Cookshop Kids: Elementary Series Spring 2025

Join the Cookshop instructors for this nine week series. In this weekly class, we will work our way through lessons on important kitchen techniques, ingredient investigations, and essential cooking skills. Our goal is to get kids excited about food, up their confidence, and experiment with new tastes and flavors!

Please reach out BEFORE REGISTERING if your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies to make sure the class is a good fit.

A sample of lessons covered while making delicious sweet and savory foods:

  • Mixing, Measuring & Baking

  • Stovetop Skills & Safety

  • Knife Skills: safety + technique + tools

  • All About Eggs (scrambled, fried, omelets, etc)

  • More important skills like kitchen organization, why things rise, mise en place, herbs and spices, and more!

What to expect:

  • All ingredients, tools, recipes and instruction are included.

  • No prior experience is necessary, but being open to trying new things is a must!

  • Dishes will be sampled throughout class, and some leftovers may go home with students to share with their family.

  • This series is geared towards kids in 1st - 5th grade. Please enquire if you have a child in kindergarten, and we can see if the class is a good fit.

CLASS DATES: Tuesdays, April 1st - May 27th from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Additional notes: 

We are no longer able to offer a walking group from Abernathy Elementary School. 

There are no refunds for missed class dates.
