Join Chef Erin for our Quick Pickle Class, where we'll unveil the secrets behind transforming the freshest seasonal produce into tangy, crunchy delights! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the art of pickling, exploring a variety of techniques and flavor combinations to create your own custom jars of colorful, pickled perfection. From vibrant cucumbers to crisp carrots, fennel, peppers and beyond, discover how simple ingredients can be transformed into versatile condiments and snacks that capture the essence of the season. Join us and pickle your way to summer satisfaction!

What to expect:

  • Class will include all instruction, tools, recipes, and ingredients.

  • Everyone will take home a few jars of their pickles.

  • Our quick pickles will include seasonal vegetables, vinegar, salt, sugar and spices. Please reach out BEFORE registering if you are unsure if this class will be a good match for your dietary needs.

  • Class is suitable for all levels of experience.

About our Instructor:

Erin Connell is a native Oregonian who grew up mushroom hunting, crabbing, camping and playing outside whenever possible.  She has been cooking in Portland for almost 20 years, and enjoys both the savory and pastry sides of the kitchen. Erin currently works with Sesame Collective, creating sweets and desserts for restaurants like Shalom Y’all, Dolly Olive, and Mediterranean Exploration Company. In the summer you’ll find Erin gardening, pickling and preserving the season’s fruits and veggies- she loves teaching others how to do the same!
