Summer Camp: Picnic Week, June 19-23, 2023
This week at camp we’ll be focusing on what makes a great picnic! We’ll work on some fun snacks and salads that are easily packable, and a variety of baked goods that are perfect to pack along on your next al fresco dining adventure!
Around the art table this week we will be exploring watercolors, illustration techniques, comic making and more!
Each day our campers spend half of their day making tasty food and the other half creating art. We will be exploring many different mediums and techniques throughout the summer. We will experiment with watercolor, acrylic paint, illustration, and so much more- with lots of fun art games, small projects, and sketchbook work in between. We learn and read a book about an artist or about art making each day, which provides inspiration for our projects. Campers also get plenty of time to run around, play games and have free play at nearby Piccolo Park.
What to expect:
Kids will prepare and eat their own snack each day. Please pack a lunch. We will likely provide lunch on the last day as we bring our special picnics to the park!
Camp is for kids entering 1st - 5th grade in the fall.
Some time will be spent each day at nearby Piccolo Park.
While we can make adjustments for some food allergies and intolerances, please contact us BEFORE registering if your child might not be able to eat the following ingredients: gluten, dairy, eggs, animal protein, and nuts (we can easily be peanut free, but sometimes use almonds and other tree nuts).
